It does a good job of planting seeds that make you think you know where the movie’s going, only for it to not ever go there.
The film is a lot of fun, though also of the sort you’re more likely to enjoy if you watch it with a few friends and a lot of beers.
Miles Ahead is a chaotic, uneven, but ultimately pretty good directorial debut from beloved character actor Don Cheadle, who here also plays Davis, and who also co-wrote the screenplay.

The Invitation establishes itself as one of the better psycho-thrillers to have surfaced in recent years.
It’s awfully scary for a PG-rated Disney family film, and, frankly, it brings nothing new or of interest to the artistic table.
Everybody Wants Some!! is what Linklater is calling a “spiritual sequel” to what is perhaps his most beloved film, 1993’s Dazed & Confused.
“It’s mainly the relationships. It’s the constant jabbing at each other, and things like that.”

We don’t get films from him very often, but they’re always very good.
Maybe this film will recruit new members for the church of Williams, even if it isn’t able to successfully preach to the choir.
