I've been reminded that most white guys still can't dance.
Today is the final day. I've survived Lollapalooza—which, if you had seen the crowd last night, was no easy feat.
- The School of Rock kids (you know, like the movie) need to actually be on a main stage of some sort; none of this Kidzapalooza stage business. Some of them play better than those who are on the big stages, so they should be rewarded.
- I've been reminded that most white guys still can't dance.
- Why have I never heard of Andrew Bird? I mean, I'm pretty in tune with the music scene and this guy never once crossed my path. I'm more than going to remedy that situation.
- Again, what is it with the covers? I think the count is up to eight or nine. Blame Kanye.
- Chicago really is the windy city. The wind blew the sound from the north stage right out of the park, making it very difficult to hear the bands.
- I had a good laugh when people actually thought they would survive the pit long enough to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers up close.
- Nothing entertains me more than seeing a crazy fan trying to run on stage from the back and getting tackled by two beefy security guys.
Well, that's it for me. I'm about to take my sore and semi-bruised body back to good old St. Louis. Rock on!
