You’ll be bored out of your mind, and probably find your intelligence has been insulted as well.
Don’t read the rest of this review. Just go see the movie, and come back and do those other things later.
It expects you to care that this fictional character wants another card at 18 when you don’t give a shit about him in the first place.

Don Jon works because of the cast.
The characters are strong, and that’s what matters. The movie is at its best when it just lingers and lets us observe them.
The Spectacular Now is enjoyable enough, but not quite completely satisfying, either.
He’s a one-trick pony and so is the film, and neither really go anywhere.
