You need to be in a midnight-movie frame of mind to really appreciate this film.
The Italian version, The Girl Who Knew Too Much, is by far the better film.
The truth is, Black Sunday doesn’t get many points for originality of plot, but Bava’s secure command of the cinematic image more than carries the day.
