They've been nominated for Best New Band in this year's Riverfront Times Music Awards. They've consistently drawn crowds and critics' favor in their couple handful of shows. They own the stage like nobody's business. And they're this town's hottest trio.

Yes, I'm talking about the Daybreak Boys. Yes, the long-awaited EP The Bowery is finally complete. And yes, we're gonna celebrate it. Big.

Ryan Sears' angelic vocals and pointed guitar combined with Steve Factor's sexy bass makes for a pair of frontmen you can't help but watch. You'll dance with your eyes open. And trust me; you will dance.

Coming out to help their BFC brethren celebrate are St. Louis' best shoegaze-indie-rock band, dozemarypool. Another power trio, dozemarypool have been on our scene (or away from our scene, as has too often been the case of late) for a few years. With the recent release of Three Pieces, however, dozemarypool have proven they are back and, well, nothing short of amazing.

Perhaps you witnessed their triumphant CD release show on this very stage back in March; if not, here's another chance to witness the wall of sound and beauty that is dozemarypool.

Finally, what more can we say about John Boy's Courage that hasn't already been said? Earnest, heartfelt, emotionally honest, rockin', groove-filled, percussive, licks o' guitar...we could go on and on. Frontman Todd Sarvies is thoroughly captivating—and his band's not bad, either. The notes Chris Taggart pulls out of his guitar will floor you, and the rhythm section holds it all together oh, so nicely. Still glowing over the February release of The Fall Precaution, JBC will put on a show that will make a believer out of you. Trust me.
