It's true St. Louis has lost a handful of venues recently, making live music spots all the harder to come by. But did you know college venues are alive and well in this town? For biggies, we've got Washington University's The Gargoyle and Saint Louis University's The Billiken Club, the latter of which has significantly boosted its entertainment roster this semester. Oh, and did we mention all Billiken Club shows are free and open to the public?
The Billiken Club is a concert venue at Saint Louis University, located in the lower level of the Busch Student Center. All shows are free, open to the public, smoke free, and all ages. Secure parking is available at the Laclede Parking garage, which is directly across the street from the BSC.
In addition to national artists who perform at the club, each bill has a local/regional act, which features the best of St. Louis musicians. Some notable performers for this upcoming semester include Richard Buckner with Six Pars Seven, Scotland Yard Gospel Choir, Aqueduct, and John Vanderslice. For a full calendar of Billiken Club events, please visit their MySpace page. For general questions about the club, please contact .
