Broken Land | Audio Postcard (s/r)

Broken Land say they have their sights set on a new territory called hindie rock: Hindustani rhythms and alternate tunings uniting under a rock and punk flag.

I can appreciate when bands are trying to break new territory. Broken Land say they have their sights set on a new territory called hindie rock: Hindustani rhythms and alternate tunings uniting under a rock and punk flag. They've even enlisted Jason LaFarge (Akron Family) to produce...but it doesn't help. There are points on Audio Postcard where the playing is horrendous, the songs wander, the instruments aren't in tune. It's enough to drive a listener insane.

I'd much rather listen to George Harrison and Klaus Voorman try to pull off Within You, Without You tripping on acid and only playing with their feet. Now that I'd pay to see! D | Jeffrey Smith
