Bleachers have become well known for their pop stylings and catchy melodies.
Founded in NYC in 2014 by singer-songwriter/producer Jack Antonoff, the Bleachers project was kept a secret until the release of first single “I Wanna Get Better.” The single was certified Gold and Bleachers was off to a roaring start. The debut album Strange Desire saw critical acclaim, and fell upon a welcoming audience.
Now, three years into the project comes the second full-length album, Gone Now. Bleachers have become well known for their pop stylings and catchy melodies. Even Yoko Ono is featured on Strange Desire, providing vocals on “Wild Heart (Reprise).”
Live, the band is tight, and the material comes off really well. Songs like “Rollercoaster,” “Reckless Love,” and “Shadow” have an arena-sized sound. Antonoff gives his all in his performance, leaving him sweaty and spent at the end of the night. | Marc Farr
